Meyune / Privacy
Meyune privacy policy
Effective 2026-10-09. Kintsugiplay LLC.
Meyune does not collect your data. There is no account, no server of ours and no analytics. This page
says what that means in practice, and it applies to the app on iPhone and iPad and to its widget.
What the app stores
- Your settings and progress — streaks, unlocks, challenge points and preferences — are
kept on your device.
- iCloud sync. If you are signed in to iCloud, the same progress is mirrored through
Apple's iCloud key-value store so a second device picks it up. That data lives in your own
iCloud account. We cannot read it and have no server that receives it.
- The widget reads a small snapshot of tonight's puzzle state from a container shared
only with the app.
What the app does not do
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party SDKs.
- No data leaves your device to us, ever. The app makes no connection to any server of ours, and
has no remote settings: if something needs changing, we release a new version.
- The nightly puzzle is worked out from the date on your device, so the app never asks anyone what
tonight's puzzle is.
Deleting your data
Settings, Danger zone, Erase all progress removes every setting and all progress from your device
and from your iCloud account's copy. Deleting the app removes the rest. Because we hold nothing, there
is nothing to ask us to delete, correct or hand over; if you write to us anyway, we will say so.
Game Center
Online play uses Apple's Game Center. Your Game Center nickname and the moves of a match are
handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We do
not receive them.
Siri and Shortcuts
"Play tonight's puzzle" and "Check my streak" run on your device as App Intents. The streak Siri
reads back is the number stored on your device. Your spoken request is handled by Apple's Siri under
Apple's privacy policy; nothing reaches us.
Sharing a solve
After a nightly puzzle you can share a picture of its starting board and a short caption. That opens
the iOS share sheet and goes only where you send it. Nothing is shared unless you choose to.
Notifications
If you turn on nightly reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. No
notification service of ours is involved.
Diagnostics
Crash and performance reports are collected on the device by Apple's MetricKit. They describe the
app's behaviour (crash and hang stack traces, launch times, device model, iOS version) and contain no
names, moves or progress. They stay on the device unless you share them yourself (below).
Sharing diagnostics
Settings has a "Share diagnostics" button. It builds a plain text file about the app and
the phone (version, device model, accessibility settings, and recent technical log lines),
with no names, no moves and no progress, attaches the MetricKit reports above, and opens the iOS
share sheet. Nothing is sent until you choose where it goes. If you send it to us, we use it only
to find the fault you described, and delete it when that is done.
Children
Meyune collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new effective date. The app
itself cannot change what it does without a new release through the App Store.
